In 1999, a young and determined Gustavo Reyes, carrying the rich heritage of Mexico, stepped onto American soil. Starting from the most humble beginnings as a dishwasher in Nicholasville, KY, he nurtured a dream of bringing the vibrant flavors of Mexico to the tables of America.

Over the years, Gustavo embraced every role in the restaurant industry — from a line cook to a server. Each experience enriched him, igniting his passion and preparing him for the grand journey ahead. In 2010, his vision crystallized into reality when he opened his first restaurant in Crestwood, KY.

Coming from a large family himself, Gustavo recognizes the warmth that family gatherings bring. Today, Gustavo’s legacy has expanded to 5 unique locations in Louisville and Oldham Co., KY. Yet, at the heart of it, the essence remains unchanged – a dream, nurtured by hard work and a love for family.

In 2020, he added another feather to his cap by launching ‘Vida de Reyes’, a beer that embodies the spirit and zest of his journey.
